Chapter 13: Itia

Tethys was left grieving over the death of her husband Okeanos.
She promised Kalamos to protect him now that he's the only family she has
since her daughter Metis had died giving birth to Athena.

Kalamos was so overcome with grief due to the death of his father that he asked permission
from her mother to go outside for some fresh air.

As he was strolling along the beach, he found a boy with an unfamiliar face.

"Hi!", he greeted the boy.
"My name is Kalamos. What's yours?"

The boy replied, "I'm Karpos. Are you from here?"

"Yes, I just don't go out much."

Karpos was so pleased to have found a playmate.
He was the only child in the Fairy Realm and had only the animals to play with.

Kalamos, while also glad to have a new friend,
was still sad he could not help but mention it to Karpos.

He had wanted to tell someone about his father's passing
but there was no children around him who might understand him the way someone his age would.

Karpos did not hesitate to lend an ear and even tried to cheer up Kalamos
by inviting him to play with him.

Meanwhile, Psyche, Eve's second daughter with Zeus,
had now grown into a beautiful young lady.

Eve, on the other hand, had become older and weaker.
The immortality spell that Zeus sacrificed to keep her alive seemed to have waned.

Psyche didn't know what to do to make her mother feel any better,
so she thought of asking for her father's help.

However, while she was on her way out, she heard a sound coming from their bedroom.

She went back inside and found Eve on the ground, lifeless.
