Chapter 4: Ekdikesis

Physis is now pregnant with the child of Zephyros, which filled Khloris with envy.
Despite her love for Zephyros, Khloris and the women fairies are unable to conceive a child
that she had to give him up to Physis so that the fairy lineage could continue.

Meanwhile, Ekhidna and Typhoeus' quadruplets have grown into teenagers,
becoming the third generation of wolves to populate Simanity.

Nemesis, too, had blossomed into a young woman.
Unlike her sister Aphrodite, Nemesis never lost her innocence growing up,
always seeing the good in others rather than the bad.
Dione, aware of what happened to Aphrodite, protected Nemesis from the world's evils,
ensuring that she remained shielded from the dark side of life.

Aphrodite arrived at their home to visit her mother and sister before her wedding with Hepheistus,
but only Nemesis was there.

The sight of Nemesis's innocent beauty threatened Aphrodite deeply.
In their family, she thought, there could only be one embodiment of beauty,
This made Aphrodite think up a plan to get rid of her rival.
With Dione's absence, Aphrodite found it easier to execute her scheme.
Nemesis had a fascination with Swans, so Aphrodite enticed Nemesis to go with her to the forest,
claiming that beautiful swans could be found there.

Nemesis could not resist and so off to the forest they went.
While Nemesis was having fun playing with the swans, Aphrodite sneakily left her.
She knew that Nemesis hardly left their home and was unfamiliar with the outside world.
Aphrodite hoped that wild animals would consume her sister so she can finally erase her from Simanity forever.

Around the same time, Zeus found himself roaming the forest
hoping to get Eve off his mind.
He loved Eve so much that it wasn't easy to forget her,
but the pressure imposed by the other gods forbidding him to have an affair with a mortal,
had left him deeply depressed, resentful, and rebellious.
He needed an outlet, a way to let off steam or get even with the cruel gods.
As Zeus spotted Nemesis alone by the pond, he recognized the perfect opportunity before him.
