Ares and Eris
ARES AND ERIS
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!
In Greek mythology, Ares is the god of war, embodying battle lust, courage, and civil order. He is the firstborn son of Zeus and Hera. Ares is married to Eris, with whom he has a son named Enyalios. However, his heart belongs to Aphrodite, the goddess of love, with whom he has another child, Eros.
Eris, the goddess of strife and discord, is portrayed as a malevolent spirit who thrives on chaos and conflict. She is often depicted as lurking on battlefields, reveling in the destruction and bloodshed that war brings. In the story of Simanity, Eris retains her malevolence but finds her powers overshadowed by Hecate, the goddess of magic and witchcraft, who transforms her into a wraith.
