Morpheus and Athena
MORPHEUS AND ATHENA
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!
In Greek mythology, Morpheus is recognized as the god of dreams and the son of Hypnos, the god of sleep. While Morpheus is primarily associated with the dream realm, Athena, a prominent Olympian deity, embodies wisdom, warfare, and crafts. Their mythological paths do not intersect directly, as Morpheus governs the world of dreams, whereas Athena is linked to the actions and affairs of the living.
In the narrative of Simanity, Hera orchestrates a scheme for her son Morpheus to enchant Athena into falling in love with him, only to abandon her later. This plot serves as a means for Hera to exact revenge on Metis, Athena's mother and one of Zeus's former lovers. However, Morpheus finds himself genuinely enamored with Athena. Unfortunately, he is unable to satisfy her due to his impotence. Overwhelmed by shame and fearing his mother's wrath for failing her directive, he retreats into the forest to hide.
