Gaia and Pontos

In
Greek  mythology, Gaia was the goddess of the earth and the mother of all creation. She was one of the first gods and goddesses to be born, and she was the mother of the heavenly gods, the sea-gods, the giants, and all mortal creatures.

In Simanity, she is one of the primordial gods and is where all mortals and werewolves came from.

PONTOS HOAPILI
Pontos was the Greek god of the sea. He was the sea itself, not just a god who lived in it. He was born from the earth at the beginning of time.

In Simanity, Pontos is the very first merman and the ancestor of all mermaids. He eloped with Gaia to help her hide from her possessive spouse Tartaros.

EURYBIA HOAPILI
Eurybia was the Greek goddess of the power and mastery of the sea. She seemed to preside over external forces that influence the main sea, such as the rise of the constellations, seasonal weather, and the power of the winds.

Her role in Simanity is still in the works as of this writing.

NEREUS HOAPILI
Nereus was the Greek god of the sea and its rich bounty of fish. He was known as the "old man of the sea" because of his wisdom and experience. Nereus lived in the depths of the Aegean Sea with his wife Doris and their fifty Nereid daughters.

Like many of the other sea gods, Nereus was a master shapeshifter and could speak with prophetic voice. He was so knowledgeable that Herakles once wrestled him to learn how to get to the land of the Hesperides.

Just like Eurybia, his role in Simanity is still in the works.

THAUMAS HOAPILI
Thaumas was an ancient Greek sea god who represented the wonders of the sea. His name means "miracle" or "wonder" in Greek. His daughters were the Harpies, the Whirlwinds, and Iris, the Rainbow. His wife was Elektra, the goddess of the amber-tinged clouds.

His role in Simanity is still not established as of this moment.

PHORCYS VOLKOV
Phorcys was the ancient Greek sea god of the hidden dangers of the deep.

In Simanity, he is the father of Medusa who is his favorite child.

KETO VOLKOV
Keto was the Greek goddess of the dangers of the sea, including sea monsters, whales, and large sharks. She mated with her brother Phorcys to produce a brood of fearsome monsters, including Echidna, the she-dragon; Skylla, the sailor-devouring crab; Ladon, the hundred-headed serpent; the Graeae, the one-eyed gray ones; and the Gorgons, the petrifying ones.

In Simanity, she is the mother of Medusa.
