Hephaestus and Aphrodite

HEPHAESTUS AND APHRODITE

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!

In Greek mythology, Hephaestus (or Hephaistos) is revered as the god of fire and metalworking. He is depicted as the son of Hera, with some accounts suggesting that Zeus may also be his father.

In Simanity, Hephaestus is the son of the very first mortal Adam, hence, he embodies human-like traits such as obedience and sympathy for mortals. His mother, Hera, forced him into an unfulfilling marriage with Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, despite his enduring affection for Athena.

In Greek mythology, Aphrodite is celebrated for her extraordinary beauty and charm, inspiring love and passion among both gods and mortals. However, in the context of Simanity, her character reveals a darker side concealed beneath her stunning exterior. She was compelled by Hera to marry Hephaestus but ultimately fell in love with Ares, the god of war. This union bore a child named Eros, who is considered the reincarnation of the primordial god of love.
