POSEIDON AND LIBYA

In Greek mythology, "Libya," personified as a woman, is said to be the daughter of the Egyptian king Epaphus and was considered the mythical mother of the Libyan people; according to myth, Poseidon, the god of the sea, had children with Libya, most notably the twins Belus and Agenor, making Poseidon a significant figure in the mythical lineage of Libya.
