Zeus and Demeter

 ZEUS AND DEMETER

ZEUS
In Greek mythology, Zeus tried to save his older siblings from their father.  In doing so, he had an affair with his sister Demeter with whom he had a daughter, Persephone.

In Simanity, Demeter was tasked by the other gods to distract Zeus as Zeus was becoming more attached to Eve, a mortal. Gods are not permitted to fall in love with mortals, hence, their effort to end Zeus' and Eve's affair.  Demeter, however, falls in love with Zeus and ends up having children with him.

DEMETER GOD
Demeter was the Greek goddess of agriculture, grain, and bread. She was responsible for the earth's rich bounty and presided over the most important of the Mystery Cults, which promised its initiates the path to a blessed afterlife in the realm of Elysium.

In Simanity, Demeter is Zeus' young lover who was sent by the other gods to distract him from committing a grave offense: falling in love with Eve, a mortal.

PERSEPHONE GOD
Persephone was the Greek goddess queen of the underworld and the goddess of spring growth. She was the daughter of Demeter, the goddess of agriculture, and Zeus, the king of the gods.

In Simanity, she is also the daughter of Demeter and Zeus.

IACCUS
Iacchus was a divine attendant of the goddess Demeter and the leader of the Eleusinian Mysteries.

His role in Simanity is still in the works as of this writing.
