Cain is a figure in the Bible's Book of Genesis who is considered to be the firstborn son of Adam and Eve. He assumes the same role and fate in Simanity, except he accidentally ends his brother's life in a fist fight. Hounded by both grief and guilt, he falls in love with his sister, Aclima, who shared the loss of their brother as well as their father when the latter died of old age.
