In Greek mythology, Erebos was one of the first gods to emerge from Chaos, the swirling mass of nothingness. He was born with his sister Nyx, the goddess of night, and together they represented the primordial forces of darkness.

In Simanity, they are direct descendants of Khaos, the first vampire to ever existed.
