Chapter 7: Parthéna

Zeus was terribly missing Eve, but he had to stay away from her for both their sakes.
In his longing for Eve, he kept searching for her in every woman he met.
Nemesis, like Demeter, had a youthful glow in her.
Though she seemed more innocent than Demeter she reminded him of Eve when he first met her.
Eve was a young woman who had an innocent, child-like attitude that drew him to her.
She was the complete opposite of his wife Hera who he had grown to despise over time.

Since Nemesis wasn't used to walking long distances, she grew so tired halfway through the forest.
Zeus decided they seek shelter under the nearest tree.

As the dawn blanketed the air with cold dew, Nemesis turned feverish, her skin more pale than before.
Was it from the cold air, or Zeus' godly presence that she froze, stunned, unable to look into his eyes.

Zeus reached out for her hand; Nemesis obliged.

He could not help himself and kissed it.

Their eyes locked and Nemesis shied away.

Zeus took a step closer to her from behind.

Suddenly, Nemesis felt Zeus' breath on her neck.
It tickled her that no matter how much she resisted it, she just couldn't.

Alas she turned around, their wanting lips touched,
as the cerulean sky witnessed the fire that was burning from where they lay.

Since after she survived Hera's curse, Athena was never the same again.

With the help of Odysseus who rescued her from drowning and took care of her soon after,
she became strong and wise and gained skills in inventing useful items and crafts.
She invented the chariot, ship, plow, and rake. Odysseus also taught her to hunt and fight.
